Really, Prof. Hart is not the horrible academic everyone makes her out to seem. Instead, her expertise in medical sociology and healthcare politics is highly relevant to our times, and she backs it up with sociological theory. She lectures on three different themes that could be courses all on their own, and is able to mesh them well. You do have to invest in the class, which does require a lot of reading, but you will come out feeling like you have learned something that will be useful as a citizen. Testing can be improved upon, but she is open to suggestions. Get off your lazy butt and attend discussion section!

the topic of this class could be a very interesting one however I definitely have to agree that the lectures are not entertaining to say the least.
