Worst professor I've had at Ucla. Not only are her lectures all over the place and unorganized BUT after having a B+ after the midterm, she FAILED me on my final because she thought I took it too fast. I expected to get an A after taking the final (studied and was prepared) and when I saw a C+ as my overall grade I went in to speak to her thinking it was mistake. She basically mocked me and made me feel terrible claiming "she knows students like me" who just want to take the final and leave as quickly as possible. (PS. I had a 3.89 before her class) It was my second quarter ever at Ucla and it was traumatizing! I have never had this type of experience with any other professor before or since! I said avoid her classes if you can!

Professor Yeager was a decent professor, but lacked any communication skills. She never sent out her study guides on time or told the class due dates (and I attended every single lecture for the entire time). Her lectures were a very hit or miss affair, often the later. I took this class to get a fresh perspective on American history and was disappointed. Professor Yeager is extremely knowledgeable, and for that reason I would recommend the class for those interested in economic history, but on the whole I would not recommend this class.

I had Prof. Yeager for the second half of the History of the American Economy, and overall the class was ok. Prof. Yeager was a very nice person, but the lectures were sometimes difficult to sit through. Our class consisted of weekly essays that made up the midterm and final, and two movie reviews. If you take her class, don't let her amiable nature lull you into a false sense of security because she's a pretty picky/difficult grader. As long as you show up to class (which is often difficult to do), and you work REALLY hard, you should be fine. Good luck!
