Spring 2018 - A decent class and Prof. Morris is a nice guy and very knowledgable. The lectures are all BruinCast and the sections are optional reviews. If you know the material on the lecture slides (also online) you can do a passable job in this class. The info is interesting, but Prof. Morris loses his train of thought sometimes. Overall a solid and relatively easy GE, not life-changing but no complaints

he is a real good professor and knows a lot about astronomy. our class was great because it was small and we had an LA Times writer, KC Cole, teach alongside Prof. Morris. The class was a lot of work, we had a bunch of mini articles and papers due, but you do learn a lot. He isn't the easiest grader in the world, but you get free points for participation and stuff like that so it evens out. good professor overall.

Winter 2020 - Professor Morris is one of the best astronomy professors hands down. I know it sounds obvious, but go to lecture/discussion and know how to do the homework/ study guides, and you'll do fine. Don't rely too much on the assigned text though. More often than not, you're going to have to go online and/or refer to other textbooks to do the homework.
