So please look at my grade. Can anyone else tell me if this kind of grade, D+, ever appeared in your life? This is so amazing. I think two other students and I have got the unique grade that the rest UCLA student body had never and will never receive! I mean I am a senior majoring in math and I took this class purely for an easy GE. He just made the class even harder and more complex than math graduate courses. He doesn't care about our grades at all. Just some facts to tell:
A/A+: 5.92%
below C+ : 31.5%
You are very welcomed to his AOS 1!
I think Dr. Picazo was a very fair professor. His class is definitely manageable. There are no textbooks required, and he posts interesting articles he finds on CCLE, but they're not required readings. There were four homeworks, two quizzes, a midterm, and final. Homeworks were very doable and he gives you a lot of time to do them. You have discussion before they are due as well to ask any questions. If you pay attention to lecture or go through the slides, there is no reason to not get an A in the course. All exams are multiple choice and reasonable. He isn't the most engaging lecturer, but to get my physical science GE met, it was a good class to take. He posts his slides. He is very clear. My TA Elizabeth was super helpful. The content is pretty interesting but he didn't really try to make it interesting.
