The previous reviews really don't do the professor justice. She was extremely kind and approachable, she's just a strict grader but she says that in the end she takes everything into account so its not just based on the tests. The class is very enjoyable as you get to read comedies that are actually interesting and you can watch the majority of them online and read along which honestly wasn't that bad. You have to participate in lectures and to do well in the class all you have to do is do the readings. It's really not a difficult class and she's a very nice and understanding person. Its definitely a lot smoother than the rest of the French upper divs.
Highly recommended. Prof. Stefanovska is an excellent professor. Her lectures are interesting, interactive and have great depth. She teaches students how to do a close reading of the text. The amount of reading for each class is reasonable. There is a mid-term, final, essay, oral presentation and class participation. If you do the reading before each class and take notes you will be well prepared. Prof. Stefanovska is encouraging and open to helping students during office hours.
