Professoressa Mardoyan is an incredible Italian teacher that puts her students first in every way. From the first day of class, we were able to introduce ourselves and know cultural concepts surrounding the learning of the language. This is a hybrid course, which means that class time is generally used for presentational practice and solidifying the vocabulary/structures discussed in the at-home online material. Sometimes the iLrn (Online) system was a bit difficult and frustrating, but she was very understanding of a late assignment once in a while if caused by technical failure (though the platform is changing next quarter). Besides being a great professor, Liza made us feel comfortable making mistakes and was just generally a nice person. I highly recommend her to any student looking to take Italian 1.
