I can understand about the comments about it being difficult for non-native speakers to jump from German 6 into the upper dicision German classes. (I learned my German at Valley College and UCLA.) However, Lisa really went out of her way to help students like myself. It was not unusual for Lisa to take her lunch with students or to meet outside of her office hours. In fact, she is probably the most accessable professor I've had at UCLA! She is an assett to the German Department.
NOTE: I know that a few people were very unhappy about Lisa's class schedule last year because the most difficult classes were put aheard of an easier one. However, the poor class schedule should certainly NOT be blamed on Lisa Parkes.
