If you want to teach, or think you want to teach, or want to work with kids, or think you want to work with kids, take this class. Ramirez is an amazing professor, who is very nice and engaging, and very approachable. Her experience at that school and with the kids is insightful and helpful. Do yourself a favor and take the class!
You become a T.A at the UCLA Lab School for two different classes (one class for the younger kids and one for the older kids). You go in on your own schedule, so make sure that quarter you have time anywhere between 8am-3pm to get your hours in.
She has readings and assignments assigned, but they are very straight forward and not difficult at all to complete.
