I took Society And Genetics M102W (taught with Dr. Ed McCabe as well) and Human Genetics C120 (couldn't find the course in the drop-down menus, so ignore my selection). First off, Linda is amazing. She is a great lecturer who really cares about what she is teaching and is extremely knowledgeable on the subject. She is far from boring; her lectures are always very clear and informative while avoiding monotony. Her seminar is absolutely wonderful, it is definitely one of the best college-class experiences i've had at UCLA. If you are interested in genetics and how it applies to society and questioning ethical issues, you cannot go wrong taking HGC 120. M102W is definitely a great writing 2 class that requires you to write 3 essays (during my year, the papers were 3 pages, 5 pages, and 7 pages, respectively) and has great topics to work with and research. Linda is a great person and is truly helpful in helping students understand the subjects.
