Dr. Soares was funny, engaged, passionate, and cared deeply about the topic and her students. She assigned a very reasonable amount of reading and papers, which she graded very fairly. She was very flexible, and worked the class around the needs of the students. She was really wonderful, I highly suggest taking a class with her if you can!
