I loved this class! Shaub was so supportive and knowledgeable. The lecture involves slides and focuses heavily on student discussion. I really like the way he runs his discussions because he knows when to change the topic when students don't have much to say about something. The class had a midterm essay, a small presentation, and a final essay. There are a lot of readings (almost a book a week) but they were really interesting and you weren't really tested on whether you read or not. Shaub wants to challenge his students to be better writers and readers, so that's where the difficulty of the class comes in. I would definitely take a class with him again!
