This review is for EPSS 109: It was a genuinely enjoyable class with Kevin. I took this class for non-major upper div credit, and I learned so much. I've never even really thought about the applications of isotopes before this. There were 4 homework problem sets, a midterm, a final and that was it. His lectures slides and notes (posted, no bruincast) were extremely thorough, detailed and helpful. He is knowledgeable and enjoys teaching. He's also an empathetic and reasonable prof who wants to help you succeed. I wish I went for office hours!
If you put in time to study the material, read the textbook for parts that are not clear, and put in effort for the homework, you would get a reasonably good grade. Non-EPSS majors, do not be intimidated and take this if you're interested in the origin of elements/isotopes and isotopic applications!
