Great professor!!! Made philosophy very fun and interesting. As a senior, I had never had a philosophy class so I didn't know what to expect. What the other reviewers said is so true!! He has a great sense of humor and his explainations are very clear. Its not that his class is overly easy, its fair. There's a huge difference. You have to go to lecture every day. That's a must!! But if you go to lecture, study the notes for the exam, and know the material, you will get a good grade and you will come out feeling you learned something interesting. very highly recommended!!!!!!!!!

Ok, you know he's an easy prof. He gives out the midterm and final questions before both tests and answers any question you might have on them. I didn't get an A in this class however because I got too lazy because it was THAT easy. You don't HAVE to go to lecture, but you should, for the tests. Sometimes he goes over the same topic for like 2 weeks, but thats a hint right there that that's going to be on a test so you should write down what he says. If you don't go to lecture and you don't know the answers for the questions for the midterm or final, go to his or his ta's office hours and they will TELL YOU THE ANSWER! But if you're too lazy like me to do any of those things, you can still easily pull off a B, at the least.

I had the opportunity to take Philosophy 154 last Quarter with Professor Kaiser, and what an opportunity it was. I was actually dreading taking this class after hearing how other professors had presented the material and structured the class. However, Kaiser's lectures, engaging presentation of the material, and easy-going style made the class altogether interesting and time spent worthwhile. It was the only class that I actually looked forward to attending. The reading selections effectively supplemented his lectures and were not too technical for even the non-philosophy major. His willingness and availability outside of class were also most helpful in my ability to comprehend the course material's most difficult points. The subject matter was fairly sophisticated, but I felt that Kaiser's knowledge and presentation of the various texts and subject matter made the material easy to understand and interesting. When it comes to determinism and free-will (the course subject matter) he definitely seemed to be the "Go-to Guy." Great personality and funny too. I'd give him an A and would not hesitate to sign up to take any class that he teaches, but I hope, for other students' sake that he teaches this class again.

Professor Kaiser is a great professor. Very knowledgeable, understanding, and funy! Yes, sometimes he gets stucked in some subjects such as the child rapist but most of the time, he talks about very interesting topics. He gives you very good reasons to attend to lecture. He gives you reviews before the exam and gives you a study guide, which sometimes is the exam. He does not grade the exams alone because his class is large but you will not be able to notice the difference in grading from him to the TAs. I would recommend this professor any time!
