Awesome class! Very interesting. He assigns a ton of material and it is up to you if you want to utilize that or not. However, to be successful in the summer class all you have to do is pay attention to some key concepts in class and make sure those are reflected in your 3 page paper. Note: he repeats them several times so you literally have to be asleep to miss them, like every class. Which I am sure you won't be since he is very entertaining. He can seem a bit provocative I guess, but that is just the style law professors teach, so do not fear. Participate in class, even if he seems a bit scary it will help you understand stuff better. Although, most importantly just simply write your 3 page paper, attend class, and enjoy your summer.
Entertainment Law with Professor Fink is one of the most engaging, rewarding and compelling units I have undertaken. As an Australian law student, Professor Fink is entirely distinct form any other law lecturer I have interacted with. His passion and expertise in business and law is extremely motivational. The socratic method of lecturing is used to challenge students and encourage voicing and scrutinising of ideas. Upon request, Professor Fink provided the opportunity to spend some time at Fink & Steinberg and provide a letter of reference for vacation work applications. Professor Fink is a fierce lawyer, engaging professor and demonstrates genuine intent to help all his students in every way that he can.
I did 164 during Summer Session A and I was a little worried as I had minimal law background and zero background on law in America. Attending his lectures and really listening to what he has to say helped me a lot. His teachings are really practical and really helps you understand. Professor Fink is also one of the most dynamic teachers that I have had and he really does care about his students. If you have any difficulty understanding anything, he is willing and happy to help.
I took 164 actually. Easy, easy, easy. I am sure it is one of the easiest classes in UCLA. Just one 3 pages take home essay as a final about the course material. I am the person that more concern about the grade than material. However, he makes me think a lot also. You can still enjoy your summer with this class.
