I really enjoyed Professor Sears personality and lecture style. This class is very organized: 3 lectures a week (all are recorded too), videos for each week, 3 non-cumulative exams (last one is not on finals week!), a paper on a guest speaker, and a group presentation. The tests are extremely fair and align with the material taught in class-- if you pay attention and take notes you will succeed in this class. You can get extra credit for attending an addition speaker presentation related to evo-devo outside of lecture. I found the topics in this course to be interesting and definitely would recommend this course, especially as an upper-div for EEB/bio majors!
I’d definitely recommend this class to any EEB majors. The content is interesting and the class isn’t too difficult. The tests are straightforward and open note. There was a group project worth a lot of points but we got to pick our group members and we got to pick the topic so it really wasn’t difficult, it was actually kinda fun.
