Professor Seltzer gives THE HARDEST tests I have taken at UCLA. They are not hard because the material is hard or boring (the material is VERY interesting). The tests are hard because the professor wants EXACT answers. Like, she will ask specific percentages or something that she points to in the lecture that she you would not think you needed to know.
Do not let her sweet character fool you. Those tests are NO JOKE. She and the TA both grade the tests and papers, so uhh yea.. she WILL have a lot to say about grading. The TA was not really a big help when it comes to going over what the professor wants. Like the TA went over major themes in the readings (which are on the tests to some degree) but the specific demographics that Professor asks for, hard to get from the TA.
Just remember, her tests are very detailed. If you really are good at remembering things, I would take the class. I am thinking I will get a B out of the class. No EASY A for sure tho.

The break down of the class was:
Clicker participation and section: 10%
Reaction Papers: 15%
Midterm: 25%
5-6 Page Paper: 20%
Final: 30%
