The professor is extremely unclear in both his lectures and in the textbook, he wrote that is mandatory for the class. There are no digital copies of the textbook. I took this class because of the BruinWalk Reviews but it was a scam. The exams of this class were not based of anything really covered in the class.
The curve at the end of the course is very generous, so don't worry too much about individual exam or homework grades. That being said, it was very difficult to comprehend exam and homework questions. The material itself wasn't difficult, but points would be marked down for things that the question prompt never asked for and half of the exam would spent trying to decipher what the question was asking. If you don't do perfectly on exams or homework, don't worry since most people do not, and this is accounted for when the class is curved at the end. The most useful portion of the class was the labs, where we used Simulink. The professor is kind, but the textbook he wrote is a bit dense and difficult to understand.
This class was pretty simple if you have background from BE 100 and BE 110. A lot of the content is relatively simple. However, the labs and hw are pure busy work and sometimes confusing because the wording is terrible. If you are okay with spending a couple of hours each week to work on them, then take this class. The tests weren't too hard because the grading was lenient.
