ABOUT THE PROF:
He is one of those professors with an accent who actually makes sense when he explains stuff, IF YOU PAY ATTENTION.

HIS TESTS:
Anal. In other words, "annoying hard". One, because of time constraint. Two, because multiple choice tests (that's how my final was) are an in accurate reflection of how much you learned because no partial credit! Three and most important, THE DETAILS. Oh god, will the universe fall into a black hole if my answer is off by 1 sig fig?

THE CLASS:
You're probably gonna end up copying the lab reports. Just make sure you're TA isn't the kind that grades harshly for minor details like title, references etc.
Honestly, you're grade in the class is determined by your test performance. Just make sure you can work FAST on his tests.

WHAT I WOULD'VE DONE DIFFERENTLY:
Gotten more sleep before my final. at least 9-11 hours.
And maybe tried to access more practice tests/ look over more lab write up calculation questions.

This class is a lot of work. Get past labs. That will save your life. For the midterm and final, don’t waste time memorizing the procedures. Just understand the results. Make sure you get the lecture notes. He isn’t bad at explaining things, but this class really tests how smart you are. If you can apply different concepts to one problem, you will do great. Everyone has to take this so just suck it up and try your best. It’s not going to be a huge GPA hit.

Professor Pang is a good lecturer. He teaches well and his presentation slides are okay. He speaks very fast though, but he doesn't have very thick Asian accent, in my opinion. Even though chem 14bl materials are easy but Professor Pang makes it harder.

To get an A in this class, 1) make sure you get your friends' lab reports and understand the concepts behind experiment. Many people just copied and DO NOT study, that's why they missed questions in midterm and final.
2) Go to his office hour is also good idea. He is very gentle in his office hour and tells you how to do the experiment.
3) Don't screw up your MIDTERM. Pang's midterm is notoriously hard. It's very conceptual. Make sure you understand fully from your lab reports.

I got an A in this class. It was hard to get and I studied very hard. Make sure you review your lab report again before exam. That's very helpful!!

Terrible teacher. Never responds to any emails even if it about your midterm grade or something important. Lecture examples are so simple and test questions are 100 times harder. He might make a final on the computer for 1 hour instead of the 3 usual hours you get for a final. He doesn't even tell you the final will be on the computer. I ended up with a B in the class with a lot of effort and studying.
