Definitely an easy A but not a fun class at all. It was over zoom and so many of the assignments were just on the most obscure meaningless topic that do not even really make sense. You can essentially just write whatever you want and you will receive 100% credit as long as its written in English so doing the assignments are an absolute chore. There is 0 interaction with the professor besides pre-recorded "lectures" with weird effects and editing for no reason. Take if you just want an A for a filler class but it is a little annoying.
This is a horrible class. DO NOT TAKE IT.
The most confusing, least accommodating professor I've had at UCLA. She thinks it's punk to make the least understandable/accessible video lectures I've ever seen. While getting a good grade is easy, you'll hate the process. Take a different GE.
Also, I'm not sure why her other reviews for this class are listed under MSC HST 13 instead. Read those for more detailed information on the class structure.
Took this class as a GE and the prof was nice enough to give me a PTE after it was full. Though I have no background in punk, I enjoyed the class and it gave me insight into punk music and its social views. The class was online, which was great, and allowed me to do the work whenever I wanted throughout the week (new work was usually released on monday mornings). I would def recommend this class for fun or as a GE! Final project was making your own punk book, of which I did with another student online, and I just hand drew the book and come up with the words while my classmate made the video for it, so def not hard and very manageable!
