Winter 2025 - Prof. Brand is a fin professor. She clearly enjoys the topic and the class is structured well. Workload is manageable, there is a'lot of reading but you can get by skimming for the important stuff. Midterm is an essay and final is building off that same essay. My only complaint is it can get kind of boring compared to some other classes. I would suggest this class nonetheless.

Spring 2022 - Grade is based on 3 take home quizzes, midterm which was a 5 page essay outline, and the final which was a 7-10 page essay, and attending discussion section. The lectures were not very engaging, in my opinion, but they were recorded so that was nice. A lot of people in the class felt her grading was quite rigorous, which I agree with, so just be aware of that.
