One of the best at UCLA very helpful with office hours and in general. I wish I would've asked her to be a mentor of mine I appreciate all her hard work she puts toward students.

Dr. Lewis was an absolute pleasure to have as a professor. She is very strict about three things, no laptops, no phone use and you must participate. She is very detailed when explaining guidelines for papers, and is always willing to help. I would take from her again in a heartbeat, and will stay in contact with her as she offered to help all of her students even when they're not her students. If you get a chance, take from her.
When i first took Dr.Lewis my freshman year she had a fair looking course reader and we were only to write four essays the entire quarter.. i never completed the course the first time i took it because of an ailment i had undergone, but she was very understanding and patient with times i turned in my essays. Although you dont get grades as you turn in your essays till the end.. the do get to revise your papers as many times before the final portfolio is due.
The following quarter i signed up again in her class and followed along with the works, did my readings and investigations and kept on rewriting and rewriting my essays; She is available when you need her to revise essays and she also calls in on you if you're feeling sick to ask you how you're doing. Dr.Lewis is one of the most nicest/helpful teachers i've met on this campus and till this day she still assists me in class picking decisions and if i ever need help in correcting an essay i know i can always email her for advise/assistance. i recommend any class with her.
