I took 6B with him last quarter and I was in his honors section too. I think he was not a good lecturer, but his generous curve made up for it. The honors section definitely helped me understand the concepts in this class and it was really enjoyable. He let you bring cheat sheets too. I got an A by the way.

While Professory Hauser isn't the most effective of lecturers, he is easily one of the nicest and most approachable professors I've had. There isn't much material from his 6B lectures that you can't learn from the book. His class demos may not help much with learning the material but they are extremely entertaining and one of the perks of having him as a professor. His midterms and the final are made almost entirely from homework problems and he is one of the most generous graders you could imagine. I got less than half on one of my midterms and on the final and managed to get a B in the class. Don't hesitate to go to office hours since they can be quite helpful and he is one of the most grounded and interesting professors I've had.

He may be good for astro, but he is a TERRIBLE physics 6B professor! All he does is demos that do nothing to help your understanding of the material. He calls "examples" when he explains a new concept. I seriously learned everything off of the answer solutions for the textbook. His midterm was ridiculously hard, with a 24 out of 40 still an A.

So if you like demos, then take him for 6B. But if you want to learn how to actually do a problem, then don't enroll in his class!
