Winter 2025 - Petta is an amazing guy, and I would say a great teacher. Compared to 1AH, the class is more focused on the actual physical manifestation of the content, rather than just derivations and tricky math. However, this did not mean the class was easy. The content moved pretty quickly, and E&M is just tricky in general. Petta gave us pretty hard tests, and since the class is graded on a curve, all of the goated geniuses in the class made it even harder to get an A. The homework was a little easier than 1AH but still had some brain benders in there. Petta always tried to do demos in his classes, and he mixed slides with chalkboard work. He was overall pretty engaging, but moved a little slower during lecture compared to Campbell (1AH of this year). Lecture and discussion was mandatory for the class, so be wary of that. Classes were not recorded Onto Petta as a teacher, he is again, very good. He cares a lot about each student not only doing well, but understanding the material. The honors classes are smaller in comparison so that is a nice bonus. After the first midterm that I completely bombed, he was willing to sit down with me and talk about the content a little, and provide some guidance. He had a lot of resources and was always willing to make time to talk. He prioritized content questions before random off topic theory to make sure everyone could succeed. He would always refer to students (if he knew) by their name, and always wanted to get to know students and for them to try and answer questions.

Spring 2024 - The professor uses demos that are very engaging and that help you understand the material. He uses iClicker and you are graded on attendance, but it was only 2% of the grade. The grade was based off of the 2 midterms (each 20%), problem sets (20%), the final (38%), and attendance. The tests were manageable, but slightly more difficult than the problem sets. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this class!
