Good teacher! He was always very peppy, and I thought he was actually pretty funny. He explained every concept very well, and he was fairly prepared. The first midterm was very easy (average was like 40+ / 50), second midterm was a little harder, and then the final was significantly harder, but it wasn't too bad overall. The final took concepts and connected everything, so just study up and make sure you can do all the homework problems. Highly recommended teacher! Very entertaining and good, and you really do learn the material. It's easy to tell that weinstein really knows the material.
Finally a math professor who can teach! I had to do almost no self-teaching in his class because his lectures taught me everything I needed to know. Even though the class was at 8am I forced myself to every lecture but one (when I had a midterm for another class).
The first midterm was ridiculously easy, basically as easy as the most simple homework problems. The second midterm was very slightly more challenging but still easy. The final was not as easy and I'm not sure how I did on that yet but I don't think it was a complete disaster.
I would definitely recommend taking his class.
