If you are not one for research or fieldwork, I am telling you right now this is not the class for you. But, if you want to truly gain experience in the teaching profession and work with students, then I would 100% recommend this class. This professor is amazing, while sometimes she is not the clearest, her office hours are extremely helpful, she is very approachable, and she is understanding. Their are 2 short essays, 1 fieldwork assignment (honestly super easy), and 1 research paper (ethnography). She does offer lots of guidance with the research paper and is not a super harsh grader, you can even work with a partner. This class also has guest speakers every week which is super nice because you get to network and meet lots of professionals.
