Quarter: Spring 2017
Grade: A
Oct. 16, 2017

Probably one of UCLA's best kept secrets! This class is two units - upper div or lower div. Professor Roberson is incredibly talented at teaching this course and guiding a pretty large group of students to produce a great show at the end of the quarter. Wonderful class, environment, and professor!!

Professor Roberson is one of the best professors at UCLA!! He takes students from all different ethnic backgrounds, many who have never sang gospel music before, and melds them into a pretty good gospel ensemble in less in one quarter. I saw his class choir sing at the recent MLK Oratorical Contest in January and they stole the show - very impressive for a group of students who've never sang gospel before!

It's a singing class so other than the paper that is required about gospel music history, it's a straight forward class - come to class on time, sing and learn, and you'll make a good grade. I look forward every week to gospel choir because Prof Roberson is excited about what he teaches. He is extremely successful in the gospel music field and so many times we have guest speakers come through. During the Grammys week, we had several guest speakers and they all spoke so highly of Professor Roberson's work. I am so glad I've taken this class before graduating - it has changed my life forever!!!

Professor Roberson made the class extremely fun-- gospel choir! I looked forward to each class because it was a time just to sing and have fun. Take this class for fun with friends, and it's a sure A. No need to worry about singing because with so many people, it's bound to sound good.

A 2 unit class that only counts for units. It is super easy and fun though. You don't need to know how to sing. If you need units or a GPA booster, this is definetly it. 1 required performance and a 2 page paper is all you need to pass the class with an A.
