Loved the material, hated the professor. Always trails off when speaking and makes unnecessary, unfunny comments. Students would quietly ask questions and he'd address only them while failing to repeat the question out loud for the rest of the class to hear. One student asked a question and he literally talked to her for 5 minutes while the rest of the class was noticeably getting restless. If you can't answer a student's question in under a couple minutes or relate it to your lecture, then that question needs to be answered during office hours. That to me exemplifies the difference between a skilled vs poor lecturer. He's completely unapproachable and not helpful during office hours, takes away the (10% of grade) sign in sheet 5 minutes into class (he also randomly calls on students on the class roster to answer questions so you better make sure you attend every class!), and is an unfair grader. The first paper he assigned to us the first week was an "EASY, brief, opinion paper" and he gave almost the entire class C's. A fellow classmate spoke to him during OH expressing their social anxiety and inability to answer questions during class and the very next day he called on the student in front of the class. He's a dick. I loved the course material-wishing he discussed a little more regarding trans and GNC-but I would never recommend this professor to anyone.
