Winter 2025 - Dr. Lu is one of the most helpful and caring professors I've encountered. The first couple weeks starts with learning how to use a pretty intuitive psychology experiment creator software called PsychoPy. Then, it goes into working on our own research from question (hypothesis) to a full-on experiment conduct in class. We get separated into groups and work on these projects pretty much the entire quarter. We had a psychopy (not quite coding but similar) assignment that basically makes us replicate an experiment provided by Dr. Lu. We also have 2 big papers (1 individual paper is around 7ish pages and the other is 20 pages with your groups). Then, just a presentation at the end of the quarter as your final. It's a great class, especially if you like research and group-work.

Fall 2016 - Definitely a great class to take. Enjoyed the material. Your grade is basically decided upon three homework (totaling 60%), and the final group project. Go to the TA office hours and you will do well on the homework! Learned so much, but I felt the Professor went too fast on some materials, but as there are no exams, you do not have to know everything. Just do well on the homework and you will be well off in the class.
