I took this class as a GE because it seemed interesting, but it ended up being my favorite. The professor is extremely engaging, and seems very passionate about the content. Her slides are very helpful and she uses them throughout every lecture. The lectures were long, but you don't need to pay attention the whole time by any means, so even when I zoned out and then came to again I was totally fine and not lost. The class is really easy, as long as u make sure to grasp something from the lectures you'll be good. She goes over a lot of different ideas during each lecture, but just make sure you understand at least one subtopic so that you can write the weekly journals. The weekly journals were graded out of 2 points, which is annoying sometimes, but the TA helped a lot so that I knew what I needed to write. They were also only around 250 words which is not bad. You also had to do the assigned reading, at least enough to make some comments on a group annotation. That was all the work you had to do per week, it was so manageable. Highly recommend taking this class.
