To be honest, I think I went to like 4 lectures max. I got an A. You can probably get an A+ if you go to more than me. I can't really comment on the class since I barely went. Workload was easy just look at the slides for the quizzes. All the assignments are due by the end of the class so do it whenever you want. Easy A. Good luck.

Professor Culik-Baird is a living essay. The way she speaks in class is really sophisticated and eloquent that for the comment & essays and the final paper that we have to write, I basically just wrote what she said in class and did well on all the essays. In class, instead of taking notes from the slides I recommend just writing down everything she says. Take this class if you want an easy GE!

Professor Culik-Baird is an extremely eloquent orator! She is incredible at explaining nuanced and complex topics so concisely and effortlessly. At the same time, she helps you notice such small details about the different texts and artwork that we review during this class. For example, she might say, "in a meta way, the fact that women are not mentioned in this piece of textual evidence says something in and of itself about the way women are viewed in Roman society." Like it's just mind-boggling how effective of a lecturer she is. And she's also so young! You really just have to pay attention to the lectures and you're set for the class. Overall, a very easy GE with a great professor and light workload. (PS she loves to say the words "meta" and "neurosis" LOL)
