Bryant is definitely one of the least boring professors I've ever had. I enjoyed his lectures even though I didn't really care for the material. The class I took was evolution of interpersonal communication and I was surprised to find out a majority of the course is learning about animal signals... Nevertheless it was an interesting, down-to-the-basics communications class. Midterm, final, and research paper- that's it.

Professor Bryant made the class interesting and reasonable. His exams are straightforward, and he doesn't try to trick his students in any way. I enjoyed this class, just like many of the other students did.

Professor Bryant's informal and personable lecture style makes his class extremely engaging and fun. The subject matter is also fairly practical and relevant in the sense that language and music is all around us. Also, 90% of the test comes from lecture, so if you pay close attention and take good notes, you should have no problems.

I love Bryant. I took 118 with him in fall and then 100 during winter. He is such a chill guy, he's funny and really approachable. 118 is really interesting content and Bryant is in his element. For 100 its a little different since it was Bryant's first time teaching the class. I think 100 had a really bad reputation before Bryant started teaching it and was supposed to be boring and dry but Bryant managed to make it interesting and enjoyable. Plus he assigns hardly any reading, no papers for 100, only one for 118 and the exams are super easy. 10/10 professor, definitely take him if you can

Professor Bryant is super smart and hilarious, but if you don't have a mind for science like me, his classes are TOUGH! By far the hardest teacher I've encountered in Comm Studies. He makes some of the information easy to understand, but he uses many words common in science that I wasn't well versed on, so it could be hard to follow his lectures. The readings are the worst! For his exams you need to memorize everything.

Bryant is a really chill professor and his TA is amazing too. I really enjoyed his class because he made it really interesting with fun videos and examples. The only thing I would say is that he expects you to understand his scientific language which is sometimes difficult to comprehend but you can always ask his TA to clarify for you. There is one midterm and one final exam and then a final paper. Most students freaked out after the first exam but then find out they did better than they thought they did. But the first exam was kinda difficult. It is hard material, that is for sure. But both he and his TA help a lot and they are two really funny and chill guys. I studied a couple days before the tests and ended up with an A, but you should really understand the experiments and everything he goes over in class. I got a 92% on the first exam and I feel like I actually did worse on the second exam. Oh and you do not need to read the course reader material thoroughly to get an A.

I loved this class and Bryant! He makes class really fun and made me genuinely interested in the subject matter. His classes are clear and I was honestly a little bummed every time class was over (I know that sounds cheesy but hey, it's true!) There's a midterm, final, and one 8 page paper which can be on almost any topic within the realm of the class. I would absolutely take any other class Bryant teaches.
