OK, his Psych 85 class is OBSCENELY hard. I fail to lie. The reading is hard and nasty, and the content is dense. BUT, if you really try, and go to office hours and ask questions (or listen to other people ask questions) and do your final paper and really stick it out until the end, you will appreciate a very energetic, kind, and cool professor.

Professor Stevens does a great service to the psych department at UCLA in my mind. He does a great deal to assure cognitive science's place as legitimate and worthwhile academic pursuit (at least in my mind), while remaining critical and recognizing the weaknesses therein. I enjoyed his class very much, and would certainly recommend him. I wouldn't worry about the grade if yor are a serious student; I doubt anyone was suprised by the grade they got, whether high or low.
