I really liked Prof. Fain's part. A real scientist teaching his material about electrophysiology well. I took this course in my first year and now I'm a senior. I would say if I haven't had Prof. Fain, I would not have been a neuroscience major. Now he's already retired, not teaching anymore and LIFESCI 2 didn't even exist anymore, I still respect him very much and am glad I had him to lead me into neuroscience. I saw him last week at BRI neuroscience conference. Miss him so much and he will always have a special meaning in my science career.

I liked Prof. Fain. I actually liked his portion of the class much more than Prof. Cooper's. Dr. Fain gives lots of anecdotes to his lecture, and they keep the lecture interesting. Also, he always finishes his lecture about 20 minutes early, which is nice. As far as the difficulty of the course, there should be nothing to complain about. If you work hard and learn (and understand!) everything on every slide, you should get an A. If you don't do those things, you most certainly won't get an A. He wont test on anything that isn't in the slides, however he will test your understanding of the concepts on the slides (as will Dr. Cooper) so reading the section in the text is useful.

LS 2 is hard and professors are not really helpful. To do well in this class, the only thing you do is to remember everything on every slide.
