The final was harder than the midterm (more questions, more application based conceptual questions), but other than that, he's good at teaching the material while adding in some extra knowledge that makes the theories make more sense. Glad I took 120b with him.

This is a pretty average class.
The workload is extremely light: there is no homework and you do not need to read the textbook at all, since everything is in his lectures.

His lecture videos were, however, all out of order. There also weren't any practice exam questions besides a few recommended hw problems, some of which have nothing to do with anything we learned. So the clarity is lacking.

However, if you take really good notes during his lectures, and watch each lecture video multiple times until you truly understand the intuition behind the concepts (not just memorize his words), then it is not impossible to do well in this class. It's all about taking good notes and religiously studying his videos until you understand intuition. After you've watched the related lecture videos, try all of the recommended textbook problems, but skip the problem if it doesn't correlate to lecture or if the solution contradicts lecture content. Don't be scared away from taking this course with Klein; I found it to be just fine, and I didn't need to study a ton each week. As long as you prepare hard for the 2 exams, you will be fine in this class.

Great professor. Highly sympathetic. Don't understand the so-called petition calling for his fire. As a POC, I don't think he is racist, to the contrary he is a great teacher. What else do y'all expect him to do anyways? Give POC A+ as a freebee? That would cost him his job and integrity.

He doesn't use slides, he doesn't upload notes, and he doesn't have practice finals. He usually just talks in class and most of it is ranting. There is a course reader, but it has a ton of mistakes in it. Furthermore, the homework problems he assigns are rarely aligned with what he teaches, so they are rendered rather useless as well. Overall, while he may be a cool person because of his profession and past experiences, it, most definitely, does not translate to his teaching. Additionally, he does not care about his students. At all! I would not recommend taking Prof. Klein, ever, let alone for a course as heavy as 120B. One of the worst Management professors, in my opinion.

I love Klein honestly. Say what you want about the problems he got into with the school and him being racist or whatever but if you have to take 120b and want a good experience at the end of the day just take it with Klein. There's very little outside work (which I like, I hate it when classes give you a bunch of assignments that not only do not help with your learning but are also super time consuming). I love that Klein is a lawyer, because it makes the way he teaches these accounting classes kind of unique. He will never lie to you and will never misspeak in class. After taking so many econ classes with professors that will misspeak and then never correct themselves or otherwise teach in a super ambiguous and illogical manner, this class was like a breath of fresh air. He's also really funny. He likes to teach using bizarre examples, which really helps with staying attentive in class and also remembering things for the tests.
Finally, the curve in this class is really generous. Some say that his tests are really hard, but it might just be because he doesn't use slides so you have to pay attention in class and go to class. And it's not even like you have to do that well in the class to get an A. He curves like a 60 percent into an A. There's nothing to lose from taking this class and everything to gain: no homework or group projects, a generous curve, and really engaging lectures. I don't know Klein as a person so I can't make any statements about that but as a professor he really is stellar.

Mediocre professor, class videos are messy and you have to figure out the order to watch them in (he provided a list that missed many videos). Time commitment is small, and not many test prep materials provided. Open book exam.

Not a fan of Klein. I thought his lectures focused a lot on stories and concepts that weren't relevant to what we needed to know, and attending his lectures didn't help me for the exam. The textbook and the problems in it are useless because Klein writes his own questions and with a pretty different approach. I memorized the course reader, but the problems in his course reader are much simpler than the actual exam questions, so it's only helpful to a certain extent. His questions are somewhat confusing and can be interpreted in different ways, and make you overthink when the actual answer is more simple, which frustrated me. I got an A in Ravetch, but a B+ in Klein. Take that for what you will.
