I did not personally take his BE 188 Instrumentation course, but I know several people who did. All of them complained that the class was a LOT of work (lengthy labs, just a lot of material in general especially since EE 100 is crammed only within a few weeks, AND you have to make a pulse oximeter as your final project).
Also, I do not recommend collaborating with Saddik outside of this course as well (e.g., lab research). He plays favorites, sets unrealistic goals, and is not sympathetic to others' needs. Overall, he is just not a good person. I do not say these things lightly-there are many nice professors and TAs in the engineering departments and at UCLA in general, but he is not one of them. Stay away from him, both in an educational capacity and as a person in general.
