I think that LS 23L is the gold standard of UCLA lab courses, well, at least compared to the shit labs offered by the chemistry and physics department. At least the material is updated and integrated well between online material, lab manual, and experiments. If I remember correctly, the material that will determine your grade can be divided into 4 components really. In class worksheets, quizzes, lab reports, and final exam.

For the worksheets, just do them and you will get most of the points.

Quizzes are basic. They are designed simply to make sure you read the material.

Most people say lab reports are graded harshly. I agree. It is unrealistic to expect most students to know how to write a good lab report. When you write your lab report, just include every piece of data. Be very thorough. They will not deduct you for being overly thorough. The TA can only deduct you based on a lack of data for the most part. Trust me on this. I scored higher than 90% on all of my lab reports and it was definitely not because I write beautifully or anything like that. It was because I included all of my data.

The final exam questions resemble the quiz questions in terms of difficulty so don't stress on it.
