Warrier is one of the worst teachers that I have ever seen. The class is really unorganized and the materials are mostly related to boiling which is just one part of the any "phase change heat transfer" course. He just like to talk about boiling because his research is in this area and I think he doesn't have enough knowledge in other parts. Furthermore, in my opinion he is very rude with some students. He was unable to answer my technical questions about boiling that I asked him but he couldn't answer them and convince me and two other students. He think that he is very knowledgeable but he is not. He just have less than 16 journal papers in some medium range journals but he talk in the class in a way as if he is one of the leaders in the area of boiling. He always shows some animation about numerical simulation of boiling and he claim that he did some of them but If you ask the students who are working in Prof. Dhir, you come to conclusion that the simulations were performed by students and not him and he never wrote a CFD code in his life. I personally asked him some CFD simulation but he was unable to answer them.

231C was one of the worst graduate level courses I have taken. Warrier was not terribly awful in delivering the material, but I didn't like the class because it was so unorganized.

The class was not "difficult" in terms of exams and homeworks, but I wished the lectures followed the textbook more closely. I didn't learn too much from this class except a bunch of correlations which I might never see again.
