I had LS4 with Professor Laski.
I took him in Winter 2011. I came in expecting LS4 to be easier than LS3 cause that was the general consensus, but I think that LS4 is actually HARDER than LS3.
Well, he was a really good lecturer, considering the fact that it was a 300-people class. He took time to ask questions to make sure that everyone understands the material. He hold numerous "clinics" where he answers questions and it's really useful, especially before exams.
His exams are hard BUT it's completely fair game. Make sure to read the questions thoroughly! For my class, we had 3 midterms (worth 100 points each) and a final (200 points) and he drops your lowest 100 points. He also has clicker points that he gives if you use your clicker during class time.
Overall, he's a great professor, and I'd recommend taking LS4 with him.
I had LS4 with Prof Laski.
He stutters a lot but that didn't bother me as it did some people. He's kind of funny but he really goes slow with the material to make sure every last person understood what he was talking about. His exams really make you think about what you know, which is a good thing. I'd recommend taking him, though I can't say that about other professors.
