Very disappointed. The only reason I can think of for people giving him positive reviews is that he makes quirky remarks in class.
Apart from that, and the fact that he does point out questions that are of the difficulty you would see on an exam, there is NOTHING of value in his lectures.
Pretty much everyone I spoke to learnt 10% of the material from him in class, and 90% from the textbook on our own.
Homework assignments can be painfully long since you're essentially learning the material while doing it, as his lectures teach you nothing.
Exams weren't too hard but you will definitely be low on time.

tl;dr: You learn close to nothing from him all quarter. The textbook is the only teacher if you choose Mesghali

1. Good professor who explains concepts well. Take good notes, read the book, go over the notes, understand the hw, and you should be fine. Do not miss lecture!
2. Discussions are not necessary. Jinchao Li is a terrible TA who needs to stop writing chicken scratch
3. I don't like his personality during office hours, but that differs from person to person
4. His midterms were not unreasonable but were still harder than the assigned hw. I re-did the hw before each midterm and also tried to do additional relevant problems from the book, and this helped me. Just check your work, avoid calculation mistakes, and if the circuit looks complicated, try to re-draw it to make your life easier
5. The final was harder than the midterms, although doing the hw and going over the notes like in the midterms should suffice. One helpful aspect of lectures is he says whether a certain example is midterm-caliber or final-caliber. If you study well, the curve should work in your favor. Just crank out practice problems and avoid computational errors.

This class is not hard, but it is also not easy. Put in the appropriate amount of work, and you should be fine.

He was extremely helpful and patient with his students! I literally did horrible on every exam, but when I went to his extended office hours, he was nothing but encouraging. He always says "Don't worry, be happy!" and after crazy studying, I passed one of the hardest classes, in my opinion.

Despite his accent, he makes things understandable for the most part and offers a leaner and more concise explanation of material from the book. The book itself is quite good, though it may contain information that won't be on exams. His analogies are pretty amusing, and regards exams as "D-days" and calls back to the "World War 2" times. The final exam this quarter was bonecrushing hard, but the class is curved.

He is wonderful. He makes jokes about WWII and talks about how midterms and finals are like D-day. He will also ask you if you are "lost in the ocean." When it comes down to it, he is very helpful and kind. Learning circuits for the first time can be overwhelming and his tests are no joke. The first one made me cry. However, he teaches the material very well. You will want to attend every class.

He takes some time getting used to, especially his humor and accent. But his lectures are straightforward and he does a lot of example problems in lecture. I ended up not going, though, because the textbook and HW was enough for me to learn the material. That and our TA Mohsen always did the problems in discussion anyway. Understanding the HW is key to doing well on the midterms and final. However he generally ups the difficulty on tests. The final consisted of 13 problems for us, but the score would be out of 11 problems (basically like extra credit). Some problems are ridiculously easy and are pulled straight from HW and the textbook, but some are just downright difficult.

One other gripe I have is the quantum leap from regular circuits to op amps in the last week of class. I mean, just...wtf. They become clearer, but you have to invest the effort to understand them, just like the rest of this class. Overall, Mesghali is a notch above the average EE professor, so if you put in the effort, you shouldn't have too much of an issue.

This guy is very straight forward lecturer.
His homework is very decent, but not too bad.
The thing is that it is up to your effort.
So far, his class is very straight forward from the text.
During his lecture, he does lots of example problems.
