Winter 2017 - I highly discourage taking PIC 10A with Professor Radke, especially if you intend to pursue the Specialization in Computing. The course was extremely simplistic when Radke taught it, and does not compare in rigor to any of the other PIC 10A professors. The assignments are very simple and can all be completed in half an hour, and the course inadequately prepares you for the rest of the PIC 10 sequence. It doesn't really help that Professor Radke is such a boring lecturer.

Fall 2020 - Prof. Radke lives up to his name: RAD. His class is enjoyable with memes and sharing sessions. He's really considerate and cares about his students. His lectures are concise and easy to follow, making him the BEST professor. The homework workload might be quite heavy but homework is important anyway. His tests are doable and since we're doing remote instruction, the tests are usually in 24-hour windows. Strongly suggest others join his classes.

Winter 2021 - Absolute unit of a professor. 3 extra credit opportunities (which didn't matter for me) by attending random lectures. Recovers easily from mistakes (my 2021 homies will understand ;) Easy exams if you did the homework, similar solutions and repeat problems on midterms/finals. Just take it with him and you'll enjoy it.

Spring 2021 - He assigns a LOT of homework. It's going to take you a while. He's funny in lecture, but you're better off reading the textbook if you want to actually understand the material and not just know the computation portion. Exams are on the easier side where many problems are directly covered in lecture.

Winter 2016 - Okay the other reviewers are right. Eric uses a big notebook all the time from which he copies notes, so his lectures can get boring sometimes. But he does offer extra credit during a random lecture to reward attendance. He is very willing to help you after class and in his office hour for all kinds of questions. This is very important for 131A. Eric's exams are pretty fair. All you have to do is to memorize important definitions and nearly all the theorem proofs. This sounds silly, but this is what 131A is all about. Overall I'd recommend him for 131A, plus he's a good looking stud.:)
