Professor Droguett is one of the best professors in the civil engineering department. His midterm for this class was extremely fair and he thus made the final a bit more difficult, but managable. Homeworks were based off the discussions so as long as you reviewed the discussion worksheets you were solid in the class. Lectures were useful as getting an introduction to the material while the discussions solidified the topics. Overall I would definitely recommend others to take this class with Professor Droguett.
Professor Lopez is good guy and is often funny in lecture. He knows a lot about stats, but he'll often say that the things we were learning are quite boring, which it kinda was. His lectures felt very disorganized, but I think that it is just the way he teaches. He actually follows along the slides that posts beforehand, but when I listened to his lectures, I felt very lost at times. His handwriting is awful as well, and he even acknowledges this too, so if you have a hard time deciphering his hieroglyphics then it's best to sit at the front. His homework is very easy, if you attend the discussions, as they are almost the exact copy of one another. The TAs are pretty helpful, although some of them were not lol. He has one midterm, one final, and about 8 homeworks. The midterm was pretty chill, as it is open notes, open Excel, except internet search. However, the final was very hard, at least for me. He does not curve the exams, which I guess makes sense as most people got As and Bs on the tests. I would recommend taking it with him. If you remember things from AP Stats in high school, it should make it easier as well.
I loved the lectures and the overall range of topics I learned in class. A lot of the coding homework was related to actual engineering problems from beam analysis to surface area optimization to Fast Fourier Transform. The professor is an engaging lecturer and very knowledgable about MATLAB.
