This is the worst MGMT class I've ever taken, simply because of how grossly unfair Professor Peleg's expectations are. Unless you're a natural finance whiz, this class will be difficult and his lectures (all PPT slides) are virtually useless. He will teach you the basics, and then the homework will test you like you've already interned on Wall Street. The exams are similar to the practice exams he gives, but again, most of this class will be self-taught.
I attended almost all of his lectures, but had so much trouble with his homework and exams because he wouldn't go over any of the relevant material in lecture. I swore by TA's office hours, so shout out to Jeremy. 0/10 would not recommend this class.
This professor and this MGMT 130A class are very straight forward. The tests are open book and open internet, so I don't understand the people who say they are hard. The professor uses slides and his slides are very helpful, so participation don't really matter much if you spend like 4-5 hours per week to study on your own. Homework is very infrequent, like only once in 3 weeks, no projects, readings, presentations or essays, so it's a very relaxing class to take too.
Extremely easy class; extremely boring professor. Everything's done on Excel and he posts slides online. Lectures are extremely boring. Even the exams are on laptops, open internet, so this class is a massive joke. Easiest A of my life.
This was a blissteringly boring class, I dont think going to class/any of the homeworks are actually helpful or that you really need to do, it is all about how well you can google/learn concepts during the test as its open internet. You can get a B by putting in minimal work. Do not think I got anything out of this class
As other people have said, this class is painfully boring. Professor Peleg tries his best but most of the material cannot be made interesting. Peleg likes to drone on sometimes about random off topic tangents so when he records his lectures online, it is easier to watch it the next day at 1.5x speed and skip over the unnecessary parts. The midterm was only 10 questions so I messed up 2 problems and my fate was set with an A- even though the final was simple. Still it should be an easy A and you actually learn a lot but drink a red bull or coffee before showing up to class.
