AMAZING PROFESSOR! Best professor iv'e had so far at UCLA. Whether you are pre-law or interested in how you can start and scale your venture , this class is for you! You get to read and analyze real cases (shortened BY A LOT, for simplicity), and as pre-law you get the benefit of being exposed to IRAC, and as an entrepreneur you get to learn from the mistakes and strong-suits of past and presently operated businesses. As a pre-law student in this class I absolutely appreciated the intro videos he releases to prepare you for the format of law school, as well as tips on how to pass the BAR! The end-of-quarter project is also something that will stay memorable to me as it allows for you to be creative all while learning valuable information you will definitely use in the future.

"Coach" Weinhaus was very knowledgeable about law, but was disrespectful to students, even cutting them off mid sentence to tell them they were wrong. I was not alone in feeling as if a men's club was created in this class, fostered by Coach. His lectures were disorganized and bounced around topics. While grading was fair and at times generous, it was so frustrating to sit in class and try to participate in the environment he created, and unless you are super interested in law (this is one of the few classes that teaches this kind of content) I wouldn't reccomend taking a class with Weinhaus.

Take this class if you're interested in business or the law and want to learn about it in an engaging and interactive class. Class discussions are really important, and Coach makes a genuine effort to learn everyone's names and make sure everyone participates. I never felt bogged down by readings or work for this class and both Coach and the TA were always really responsive to emails if you get lost at all with the material. Overall it's really clear that he wants his students to learn, enjoy the class, and take a class with him again.
