Professor Walker is incredibly knowledgable and helpful. This course covers a lot of his own research and research done by his peers, so he can answer any questions and provide a ton of extra detail. Most of your grade revolves around a final project (a research proposal), which you work on for most of the course. Professor Walker encourages you to meet with him one on one throughout the course to give suggestions and guide you through the process. He is very clear with what he expects and provides a thorough framework for how to do well in the class. I would absolutely take another course with him.
Class was difficult. Readings were horrible. Sometimes the topics were interesting but for the most part the topics were boring. I did end up hating corporations for the shady things they do in order to make profit. The professor was a difficult because for the final he wanted a lot of things. For example, he wanted a lit review with a proposal that came up to 15 pages. The 15 page isnt the problem it, the problem is that he didnt help you with the proposal and kind of left you alone. Came out of office hours more confused than anything more because he was intimidating with his knowledge. It is a research intensive class. I would never recommend him to anyone not just this class. The people who liked this class are full of themselves.
