Excellent class! I really enjoyed the reading selection that Duncan had us read as it was very interesting. Most of his papers were fun to write. You will definitely get better at writing if you participate in this class. Go to his office hours! They are almost essential to doing well in the class and getting a good grade.

Duncan is a great instructor. I highly recommend him for any writing class. I took Comp Lit 4DW with him and he was great help. He expects you to participate, but he is very flexible with OH.

I took him my 4th year and being a science major I hadn't written in so long. I had some trouble writing and Duncan was very comprehensive and helped through each paper. The amount of reading was not too bad.

Take writing classes with him. You won't regret it!

Take this class. Yoon wants to give you a good grade. Just make sure you attend office hours to be secure. He understands the tragedy of being a student the workload you get, so he makes things easier on you. His papers and midterm are simple. Only his final can get a little tricky because you come up with your own prompt. But again if you go to office hours, he'll definitely talk it out with you, to the point where he will basically give you a prompt.

His class made me enjoy reading about culture and society. He is not difficult at all and moreover he will help you whenever you need it.

I enrolled in this class week 2, and was super intimidated at first because Duncan really knew his material! But as the quarter went on, I began to enjoy the class and my writing improved. Duncan is a passionate instructor, and is flexible when it comes meeting with you for OH. Take his class, you'll learn a great deal about history & writing!

Duncan is really great! I'm glad I took this class because all the readings are really nice and relaxing to read and Duncan is really passionate about the course. he is also super chill and into helping all the students in any way he can! When I first signed up for his class I wasn't sure how it would be but now it's been one of my favorite courses!

Yoon is a really cool professor. I had him for 4DW, Great Books from Around the World.

When I first learned the subject of our class would be solely on African Diaspora I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy the texts. But I was surprised how much I liked his selections. He's also very passionate about what he teaches.

Overall, a good guy to take WII with. He'll definitely help your writing improve. Marks up your essays a good lot >.> Just make sure to participate. He likes that.
