Although professor Sabean has good intentions, his lectures are bad. He would talk non stop about millions of topics per hour and will go back and forth, jump in time, and so on not in order and without mentioning any dates. From the beginning of the class and all the way after final I had no idea what was the class about! I still have no idea, except what the title says. Lectures are extremely disorganized! But professor Sabean is a good guy and his assignments and tests are fair and reasonable, although you will have to study for them on your own. In the end I got A-

Nice man, but as the person before me put, don't expect to learn about 16th century history, expect to learn about the culture associated with it. Although the class had its interesting points, I found the readings to be very difficult to understand. If you have a true interest in this period, then take this class, otherwise I would advise you to stay away from this one.
