TAKE THIS CLASS WITH SCHRIVER AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Schriver is a god-send who is SOOO understanding and an amazing lecturer! The way the grade was broken down was three exams (25% each) that are non-cumulative, 10% HW, and 15% lab (standard for all PHYSICS 5 classes). His exams were SUPER fair probably the easiest exams I've taken with any physics professor here, with no tricks, and as long as you understand the HW and the problems from his review sessions before the exam, you are basically guaranteed an amazing score! AGAIN TAKE IT WITH HIM!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DONT!

He is by far the most engaging UCLA professor I have ever had the pleasure of taking. I always had a tough time in Physics given it is not an easy subject nor does it get easier as you move up the series. Professor Schriver explained topics in ways that were super easy to digest. All his material is clear and concise and he also makes that the same case for what he expects you to know for the exam. Each time before a midterm he goes over problems that will show up for these exams and if you are able to understand them great, you are practically guaranteed an A, if not, FEAR not! Ask him after class, he is so approachable and always smiles and is very patient. He always answered my emails in due time and explained these concepts in separate ways so that I can get more perspective on it. I HIGHLY recommend him!

Oh my god Professor Schriver actually made me like Physics. This man is a GIFT to UCLA and I recommend him to anyone and everyone. There is NO reason why you should not be able to pass this class with high marks as long as you just attend or watch lectures and understand the examples he provides. He is so generous with grading on exams as well. THANK YOU PROFESSOR SCHRIVER FOR BEING AMAZING.

The best professor I've ever had at UCLA, hands down. Tells us exactly what he expects us to know. Tests are the fairest exams I've ever had. I would give him my babies if I could. Words cannot emphasize how much I love Schriver. If you get him, you are extremely lucky.
