This class was pretty stress-free. It composed of participation and three papers. There was no formal final exam; it was a written response in section (50 minutes) of week 9. I think the professor was funny and down-to-earth. My TA was great, and I ended with a very comfortable A+ without having to freak out week 10. I highly recommend this class, even if you aren't super into art history because it was an easy GE.

I wasn't too interested going into the class, and while the professor's slides were sometimes boring, I don't regret taking this class at all. It was interesting to learn about different artifacts and styles that belong to various cultures (much of this information I still remember one quarter later). There were 3 (I think) essays, with each one being weighted more than the previous one(s), but if you have a nice TA like I did, you should be alright. Make sure to communicate with your TA since they will be grading your essays and therefore determine your grade in the class!
