Quite an easy class. Would recommend to anyone interested in learning more about the business side of the music industry. You don't really need the assigned reading to do good in the course, as the prof provides all the necessary materials to complete the two midterm/final projects. There were no tests. I enjoyed the course greatly; however, be warned that the class touches on the greatness of AI a LOT, and less so other aspects of Music and the Internet. It is also a little difficult to determine the structure of the course. Overall, I enjoyed the course, and would recommend Prof. Macfadyen a lot.

This was the literal easiest class I have ever taken at UCLA. Not only were there barely any assignments, you did not need to do the readings to get an A in the class. Honestly, the class was a little disorganized but interesting enough. I think it's worth taking this class if you're looking for a chill quarter. Just make sure to show up to the lectures though because he will sometimes take attendance and you never really know when he will.
