Winter 2023 - This class was interesting, we all thought we were going to fail but it honestly wasn't that bad? Homework was killer and insanely time consuming and tests were also quite difficult but they were open note which helped quite a bit. Bensimon himself is an incredibly smart and helpful person and I would highly recommend attending office hours as you really get the most out of the course and learn how to solve the test problems! Much better than most other pchem professors

Winter 2016 - This class is challenging and requires a great knowledge of physics 1C. The first part of the course is basically him going over physics 1C in 4 weeks. The second part of the course is learning about spectroscopy and quantum mechanics. I got a couple of points below the average on the midterm but did extremely well in the non cumulative final and ended up with an A. You might do bad on the midterm but on the second you can do better and bring your grade up. Visit his office hours! He's not as clear about explanations during class as he is in his office hours. Very nice man. I would totally recommend anyone to take him but be ready to work hard. His problem sets are give each week and graded on attempt. haha they're a little bit too hard to solve completely but his tests are open book!
